Clifford was a founder member of Woodford Orchestra in the late 1950s. In 1963 the Woodford Orchestra became the Woodford Symphony Orchestra, and as well as playing with the Orchestra, Clifford was the Secretary until 1973 when he left to join the Forest Philharmonic Orchestra. The Woodford Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 50th Anniversary with a concert in November, and I was searching the internet for an address to send an invitation to Clifford to come to the concert, when I found this website and read the sad news that Clifford had so recently died. Clifford is still remembered by some of the older players - he was most important person in the early development of the Woodford Symphony Orchestra. RIP Margaret Sinfield Chairman WSO
